2 weeks in a row I was able to chop hair to donate. This isn't my first time chopping ones hair off for a great cause, but it's definitely not something that I get all too often.
I feel that this one is especially blog worthy. The 1st picture is from an adorable little 11 year old girl who had decided this on her very own!

These next pictures are From Megan. From her we cut nearly 18" What a great cause!!! A lot of wigs are made by real human hair. It is such a service to donate your hair for those who truly need it! I was honored that I was the one to not only be apart of something so fabulous, but be able to let my creative juices flow and give a complete hair make-over!

So meet Megan... From what I know, she has never had short hair.

So, this was a huge step for her!

I got this in my email from my mother-in-law. I thought it was cute.

As I was conditioning my hair in the shower this morning, I took time to read my shampoo bottle. I am in shock! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my entire body says "for extra volume and body"!

Seriously, why have I not noticed this before? Now I understand why I am so "full-figured"!

Tomorrow I am going to start using "Dawn" dish soap. It says right on the label "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove."

It pays to read the warning labels, my friends!

3RD: WAXING, Specifically Neck Waxing!

If you look closely you can see small white hairs in the middle of the picture, on the

left side of his neck. Those were shaved before he had committed to getting waxed.

(this is my dad, visiting and needing a cut, he decided to give the neck wax a try..)

SO.. as you can see, the trimmers definitely get close but you can still SEE every hair!

There is nothing like baby smooth skin! A few "ow's" and then smooth as can be! A couple times of waxing and you have HALF as much hair there. Literally. My leg hairs are sparse after continuous waxing. The MYTH is darker and thicker, sorry folks that's a lie!!!

Waxing is proven to thin out your hair. Waxing is the best!!

Summertime!!!

Hopefully summer is coming. While I am sitting here freezing in my blanket, with lack of any motivation for the day; I can't help but vision the warmth of the sun, swimming pools, water skiing and perfect blue skies. It's sunny outside but windy, and the weather is predicting a storm today. Boo! Summer is my favorite and I hate how we get pretty gypped here in Utah County.

But thinking of summer also makes me think of my toes.. Yes my toes. Cute, bright fun colors for summer! My finger nails are doing good, I am really liking my color of gel polish on them, but my toes...... are in desperate need, wouldn't you agree??? Look at that grow out, I believe I got them done in March. Well at least we know glitter toes last A LONG time, they were all still on last night until I couldn't resist any longer and my need to pick got the best of me. My first chance I get, I am going to get them done, kind of embarrassing!

All I can say is WOW! Here is another one of my many successful Brazilian

SO.. I have been doing the Beauty Angel and I seriously feel like I get a minor workout every time I do it, depending on how I stand. So I am loving that! :)

I am also loving our new color-line by Loreal Professional. I got certified

2 weeks ago and have been using it ever sense. It's totally different

than anything I've ever used and the results are Ammaaaazing! It is luxurious

and surprisingly is actually good for the hair. Your hair can get back to a

"virgin state" within 1 -5 colors. The color also infuses into your hair strand

and doesn't wash out or fade nearly as much!!! I have been loving

the results I get on every client! It's pretty exciting stuff!

This is long over do. This was my blog long before I got married, so now I want to use it to talk about what I love most! I am not sure why I didn't think of this sooner!!!

I am a Licensed Cosmetologist in Orem, UT working at Season's Salon & Day Spa. I have been doing what I love most for 6 years. I graduated from Evans Hairstyling College in St. George. So.. I have some HUGE news!!! (warning: LOTS of pictures)
Tonight, Joshua, Jayne, Michael and I went to Color Me Mine to paint again because we love it. But unfortunately they were closed so plan B, we went to Boondocks (were there for hours, got lots of free stuff!), grabbed Pizza and went to watch fireworks and its the 24th so OF COURSE there have to be fireworks involved.
We love fireworks!

While we were there we got tickets from the arcades, Mike told me I should get this ring so I will have one and we'll call it good.
(yeah right...)

I wish I could find my cord to my camera but I can't so these are the only pictures you get to see from Boondocks. You get the idea...

SO.. Here is Mike just cheesing it, holding a ring. Hmmmm. I had NO idea, I was COMPLETELY oblivious to everything ALL night long.

OF COURSE, it all makes sense now. We're engaged! It's all kind of a blur to both of us. Given I was completely caught off guard and he was so nervous.
He asked me to be his wife and I said, YES! We have known for a little bit that we want to spend the rest of our lives together! The Temple is already booked and siblings are buying plane tickets. All the plans are coming along nicely. But now it's official and I get to tell the world that I am marrying the most amazing person in the whole entire world! I couldn't be more thrilled. I am so blessed and so lucky to have found him. Gordon B Hinckley once said, You will find your spouse at institute. Prime examples..
We met in dating and courtship!
It was quite the emotional night for all of us. I love him with all my heart. FoReVeR. Josh and Jayne of course were a part of it.. They did so well as to not letting me know a thing. Jayne and her giddyness for us, so proud of her! I wanted to be so so so surprised and he did just perfect!
I love you Michael! And thank you for loving me! :)

So I hear no one can read what I have typed. So hopefully if this works then great, if not, then it does not really matter cuz the pictures are what counts. We went to Color Me Mine and spent 6 hours there. It was a blast, probably one of our funnest days! The bottom picture is them all done, Yay! Everyone did such a good job.

(P.s. We really like them and they are moving.. to Seattle. Both of us are upset about it. But we do already have our trip planned!!)

exhausted after a vacation

I went with the Blackhurst family to Fish Lake for a few days. He has a great family, It was a lot of fun! (lots of pictures to come) We stayed in Mike's parents mission friends cabin just a few minutes away from Fish Lake. We did all sorts of activities! It really was quite fun, except the factor that we didn't get any sleep, but who needs sleep when you are with family...

We went horse back riding. It was a really pretty trail. We ended up on top of the Mountain and got to ride on this for a while. Even with how tired the horses were from climbing they still wanted to run! Which is my favorite thing.

I got to ride Cowboy, he only has one eye and was still a great horse to ride; Once they all settled down, that is.
(It was the first ride of the summer)

We went fishing and caught fish after fish after fish! Here in the picture is Mac and Travis. When he's gotta go, he's gotta go.

This was only half of the room, and the night before was even more packed. It was a tight squeeze to have all 6 kids and their families but it worked. Like I said we didn't get much sleep. We all slept basically in one big room, given the loft upstairs. All the married adults were in the beds upstairs. A couple slept in closed bedrooms downstairs. Almost all the children slept downstairs in this general area. I slept in a different place every night, depending on where I put my air mattress so I wouldn't get woken up by people walking by. But it never helped!

We did bottle rockets, the kids loved it. And I love this picture!

We went shooting, this is me trying to figure out this specific gun. Travis told me to stop looking like a ballerina holding my elbow up lol

So there really is a weight limit on hammicks that are only screwed into a tree a few inches. Mike and I were on it and Pam (his mom) wanted to get on in the middle to seperate us. I think it was Buster that was pushing and sure enough we landed flat on our backs. This picture of endless children is after it had broke and got put back together. We had to do rotations so all 15 weren't piled on me at once. They surely tried though, you'd think they wanted it to break again.

Early on our horse ride I saw these twisted tree's and I loved it but didn't get my camera out in time. We hiked up the same trail and sure enough we found them! So we carved our initials in it.

We kept hiking, climbed on a water tower to get these views. It was beautiful up there. We had a great time and couldn't be happier. After almost 5 days strait together we still can't get enough of each other.

And I have the coolest boyfriend in the world! His name is Michael. We met the day after my birthday in institute (dating and courtship, of course lol) It took him a good month to finally ask me out, I had to withhold myself from saying that day,"You haven't asked me out yet, so here's my number." We obviously had it on our minds at the same time, I immediately said yes, we went out the next night and we have been dating ever since! The longest we have gone without seeing each other was 3 days and that was just barely this last weekend. I think it is funny how life happens. I am enjoying just dating and having a healthy relationship. He treats me aboslutely amazing, is extremely genuine and he is such a good person! ...Sorry for the cut off picture, i just love his face :) lol

I am so glad that I was able to go to St. George and spend the weekend with my dad and mom. I enjoyed getting away and just being home. I LOVE the feeling of home, I miss it and I miss my parents a lot. Life is fun and can be very exciting but there is nothing like the time I get to spend with family and getting to go home. I love you dad! You are an amazing father! (Sorry fam, I just had to post this on my blog as well as our family blog)

six months

It has now been exactly six months sense the divorce was final. I can't believe all that has happened, where I am at in life and how fast it has gone by. It was also my parents 32nd Anniversary. Congrats to them! So, I went all day without realizing or thinking about it, it was tonight when I went to the temple how the temple worker read my name.. So I looked at the computer and sure enough it was still wrong, it had gotten changed but it was still wrong. I got everything fixed ages ago so it irritated me that it was still showing as that!
"They say time is a healer, its more like a concealer for a scar. Cuz it never really leaves us, it can always find us where we are."

Lately I have felt that I have woken up from a REALLY bad dream that still haunts me from time to time. So, I really was a little angry while going to the dressing room but it was because of that, that I realized what the date was and that brought me joy! It was then that I realized how blessed I am, how much I am loved. And I know that I am at where I am supposed to be. I had lost myself while I was married but I am back, happy and living again!
I have always said that everything happens for a reason, I still truly believe that. I would question every now and again why I would choose to have gone through what I went through, looking back and knowing clear as day what I should've done. But I didn't, and I really feel that I was supposed to go through that. I wouldn't be who I am and I wouldn't have the life experience. I still would do it all over again to be where I am at today. (plus and minus some things) Because I am tough and I can handle the hard things. They say time is healing, so I am patiently waiting for my time to continually go by. I know that hitting 1 year will be a big stepping stone and I look forward to it already.
P.S. ....
Side note of my thoughts:
I have a completely different perspective on love and relationships. I did not know even a fraction of what love feels like, let alone what a healthy relationship was until now. I now can see what couples will work and wont. I can see the giddyness and love that is in some couple's eyes. And those couples will be happy and last forever. Those are couples who truly are in love! And want to keep growing there love for one another. What an amazing, powerful thing love is for those who are 1) In love, and 2) Revolve their lives around the savior and aren't stupid! Stupid people kill me. But thats a whole other post that won't be at this given time.

This Concert consisted of The Classic Crime, Owl City, and Relient K. Cas and I saw Relient last time they came well over 3 years ago. This time was SO much better!!! We were much closer and they played amazing songs, not just covers. It was a completely different feel. Through dealing with mean girls, pushy boys that were not going to get through, massive hair in my face, being a little short and claustrophobic, stinky chid breathe and worst of all being drenched with sweat.. It was intense and so exhausting but we survived and it was well worth it and a blast!

Memorial Day Weekend

Mike and I went to St. George for Memorial Day Weekend. It was a lot of fun, aLwAyS is with the family! I do love road trips with great music and conversation, I thoroughly enjoy every chance I get. It was the Moss Reunion as usual so we went up to good ol' Pinto on Sunday. Got to see the whole extended extended family, ate some good food, road the 4 wheeler, and of course got a nice nap on the swing beds!

It's so nice to have a happy family. I love my family, they are the greatest people in the world! The weekends are just never long enough, can't get enough of the them and the time!

Its crazy. Well not so much crazy but I love it, I don't even know where to begin... I have been asking for a way to share my experience and just a way to teach and be there for others and try and help in any way that I can!!! I also have been trying to really, really revolve my life around the savior to the fullest potential that I can. I have been trying to find positive things to keep myself busy and really feeling fulfilled, being productive etc.. I have to feel like I am progressing everyday!
So all these thoughts and prayers have been going on and late Friday night I got a call from the Bishop, I met with him last night and got set apart today as the RS 1st counselor. After meeting with him last night, I left with so much emotion and gratitude that the Lord would trust me enough with his children to teach them at such a crucial hard age, and be there example and be there for them. I am so excited, I especially get to live my life around my savior now!
I love being a member of the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that it is the only way to true happiness and living it is the only way back home! I am grateful for what I have been through and for the guidance the Lord has given and continues to gives me. One thing that I have really learned sense last November is really relying on the spirit of the Lord and actually listening to it, my life has only been blessed sense I learned that. I know for some its hard to understand but I have never been more at peace sense November 19th, the day my dad gave me a priesthood blessing. I need the priesthood in my life. The power of the priesthood is real, the feeling of that day I will NEVER forget. The Lord was there, the love and spirit that filled the room I can't even explain, it was truly amazing!
I know that I am on the path that I am supposed to be on. I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be at in my life. I am a completely different person than I was 6 months ago, even just 3 months ago. I am happy. And I am just filled with so much love and gratitude for everyone and everything. I am alive and living, I am positive and I am continually learning! I love it.

THIS is my family. I love them so much! I am so mad that J & J are moving away and leaving me all by my lonesome in Utah County. But I am going to keep myself busy. I need to go home more often, I love the weather, the memories and I LOVE the feeling of home. It is a beautiful thing to be around the ones that you love more than anything in the world! Its always hard to leave but this last trip was especially hard. I miss my parents and being able to snuggle them all the time. They love me and are the best of the best of parents. I have an AMAZING family! Everyone is so cool! I can't get enough of the time spent together. I love them and I can't express it enough.

Murder Mystery Dinner:

Last Saturday we had a murder mystery dinner in the Cayman Islands at the Wedding Bells Reception Hall. Bitsy the bride got killed after the wedding so we got together to figure out who the murderer was before the cops found out she was dead. We had amazing food and a great time. Everyone played their character well! Once the sun went down our decorations looked great!! :) LOVE my friends! It was so much fun, can't wait until our next themed party!!!

So its been a while. Whats new??? Finally taking a minute to see people's blogs! And update mine a little. Nothing too exciting going on.. I cant believe its already April! Time has gone by way too fast but I love it all at the same time. Lots of great memories and learning.

So I have decided I need to do something with my life other than work 4o hours a week with all women. Love it, but I am going to go to school in the fall! Take classes strictly for fun, people think I am crazy but I am very excited to get an education!!! It'll be good for me in more ways than one. I put my extensions back in, love them. And today I tought in Relief Society, that was a lot of fun. I love my ward. Good people! Cant think of anything else?? Just living life, enjoying every moment to the fullest and continually finding joy!Love these girls, Cas and Katie

I miss my baby!!!! Cas and I went to St. George a couple of weeks ago and I just love her. I am going to try and get away with her living in my apartment over the summer. Then in the fall I'll for sure have Zoee cuz I get to live with 3 of my friends, Cas, Katie and Tonya! Somewhere... as of where is still undecided. SO excited!

Here are some things that I have learned and, A LOT of things that have embedded themselves even deeper into the brain.... I got more than planned.

1. I am happy.
2. Although everyday is a hard day I know that I am NEVER truly alone, I know that I am being watched over.
3. Forgiveness is a SIMPLE thing when it turns into gratitude.
4. It took me a minute but I DO know that I am loved. I need to be loved.
5. There are good hearted people out there that actually care (even about me!)
6. I am a pretty emotional person
7. I love myself.
8. We need to take every chance and opportunity we get
9. I am a very deep thinker.
10. My relationship with the Lord has increased immensely and I love it. I know to truly be able to be happy I need to continue to better my relationship with him.
11. I am a very nice person.
12. I LOVE where I am at in life.
13. I have loads of issues that I know will only be healed in time.
14. I NEED girlfriends.
15. My life always has and always will revolve around the Savior, I love the Lord, I love going to church, I love the temple and I love the joy and peace it all brings. The truth is an empowering thing.
16. As my bishop said, I have life experiences of a 31 year old.
17. I know my self worth.
18. I am picky.
19. (already knew this one).. I have the most AMAZING family in the world!!!! I love them so much, I am so grateful for the love and support they give. The selflessness. They are such a happy people!
20. I AM good enough!
21. I will always be a daddy's girl and I will always need my mom.
22. I spend a lot of time alone and I find it very healthy.
23. I am not perfect but I am trying.
24. I know that my prayers DO and will get answered
25. EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

I thought I knew myself, I've always thought that I was so grown up (and now i am haha) but I have learned many things that I am grateful for that I would not take back, so many things that I need to be able to live a long happy life! I am grateful for the things that I have learned and will continue learning, and for the opportunity to better myself. I think that this is a great age to really live and get the most out of our experiences, to learn and better ones self.

I am officially 21 but yet I have been telling people that I am 22. Not sure why. I have always felt older than I am. It was a good day, MUCH better than last year. I worked all day as usual, had people get together for dinner at Pizza Factory. Then Cassidy and I went to he's just not that into you. It was a nice relaxing night. It was a very fun birthday! I felt very loved.

I love Sundays. It is a great relaxing day off. My church is early in the morning and I absolutley love church. It get so enthused and it truly excites me. I have a great singles ward. Afterwords they had a little lunch and then I went to my friend Kara's farewell. It was my 4th hour of church and I felt like I could keep going all day. We eventually went to a fireside and then ward prayer. I personally think that is how every Sunday should be, it was perfect. Filled with the spirit and positive uplifting things! I have missed being this involved.
Even tho all that has gone on this last little while I am at a really good place mentally and spiritually. Ever sense my father gave me a blessing a little over 2 months ago I have never been more at peace! Its crazy. I know that the Lord is with me always. I am so happy. Everything seems to keep falling into place and the steps that I take in life definitely come when I can handle them. I feel to be moving forward in a positive healthy way. Although times are hard and I have a lot to work through, I know that I'll be okay. I know that everything happens for a reason. I have learned a lot about others and myself. I am glad to be who I am today and to have the gospel in my life, I can't live without it! My life revolves around it.

Jeremy came out for Sun Dance Film Festival. Justin, Mother and Father came up to see him and us of course! It was so much to be with everyone but it felt somewhat empty missing Alicia, Leigh, B and Ema. I love my family SO much they are truly amazing. I have great parents and very loving siblings! While we were at dinner I was trying to figure out why this very moment felt so special, cuz it wasn't anything out of the norm, and I couldn't put my finger on it until today.. Last night my very good friend Cassidy was in Saint George and had a strong impression to go to my sister Jamie's grave. Today at work after talking to my mom and her I realized that yesterday was the day of Jamie's accident 21 years ago. I never actually met her on earth but I feel very close to her and that she is always with me. I try and take every moment in when I am with the fam but last night was different and I tried to soak it in even more so. She was there, I know it!

We went 80's dancing the other night. SO much fun other than I guess we didn't look older than 18 cuz they were not going to let us in. Luckily I have grown up only a little bit since that age :) These are 3 of my room mates. Chaley, Nicole and Staci. And then a normal picture of Cas and I Ice skating. That I thoroughly enjoyed as well. It was a lot of fun and it was free thanks to Institute.

This is apart of my room. I have 5 room mates. And my bed is ridiculously high!! I love it I have so much storage under there, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't. I am all moved in and everything surprisingly fits! It was such a fast process; we were looking for places and the next thing I knew I was sleeping here. It was maybe a matter of 2 days. For New Years we watched Happy Feet "bow down, bow down" :) And sang lots of karaoke. It was a very entertaining night! About ten to 12:00 we turned on the TV to of course watch the ball drop. Then at about 1:00, after a little power nap, we started Season 4 of Lost. At about 5 we accidentally slept for 4 hours rather than 2 and then with a couple breaks later.. we finished the Season at about 4:30 in the afternoon. That was my New Years, I cant believe we watched a whole season in less than half a day! It truly was a great day.

Christmas!

So Christmas was fun!!! Of course, anytime with the family is a good time! Josh, Jayne and I went down to St George for a couple of days and played. Everyone was there except Jer and Leigh, we missed you guys! We played white elephant at Matt and Kristi's on Christmas Eve and spent the rest of the time at the Parentals and had lots of good food! The Moss Family Wii got a couple of Karaoke games and it was a blast! We even whitened our teeth. Zoee was exhausted after a couple days of being on edge hissing and not being very nice to the other cats so she slept the whole drive home! Here are some lovely pictures! So I haven't seen some of my High School friends in over 3 years! Wednesday, 9 of us went up to Salt Lake to eat dinner and look at the lights at Temple Square. And we just so happened to be right on time to be the choir for the night! ha ha ha. Good times. It was a great night, a lot of fun and gorgeous!

Skydiving!!!

So today I went Skydiving in Mesquite! I had mentioned to my parentals that I wanted to go skydiving so my father made a reservation and surprised me! Here are a couple of pictures. It was awesome!! Surprisingly I wasn't nervous at all, seriously. We free fell starting at 14,000 feet for well over a minute going over 120 mph. I got a video and when we pulled the parachute I watched the camera man and that's when I could tell how fast we really were going!

For Thanksgiving the family gathered in Pine Valley at my Grandma's house. It was a wet and cold day, perfect for the indoors with food family and games. Having not been living in Saint George for a while it was nice to see all of my extended family that lives there. My aunt brought her dog Sadie who: come to find out was pregnant. She started having her babies when it was time to eat (perfect timing) lol She had 4 puppies total all black pure bread poodles. It kept the day entertaining!

This Thanksgiving I thought a lot about what I am thankful for: My family has been seriously amazing to me. Anything I say out loud comes true so I have been trying to keep a lot to myself :) I love my family, they will always be there for me no matter what! They have taught me this past week true selflessness and unconditional love. What a great thing to have. I look up to them so much and from here on out am going to try to be more like my family.
